'Christina on the Coast' aired its Season 2 Part 2 finale episode tonight (Sept 10) featuring empty nesters Eric and Gina. The couple lives in a very fancy mid-century modern style home that was built in 1964 and since then there are not many changes made around the house by the owner. All the mirror, stone and concrete work spoke to them on many levels after which they made the purchase, nearly five years ago.

Christina was bowled over by how beautiful the house was but the kitchen was something that didn't really look as glamorous as the rest of the house. The appliances were dated, the layout was closed up and the lighting situation was making the place look dark and dull.

Eric and Gina preferred a sexy, glam and very Liberace style Hollywood Regency makeover and they had a whopping $100,000 to spare for this makeover. Christina was excited to work on this glam project with her contractor Mike and the rest of the team and they certainly did run into a couple of roadblocks including the termite situation that came up and the mirror wall that Eric loved so much and Christina's team discovered it was falling apart in places so they had to take it off completely.

With this renovation at hand, Christina was also pulled into a personal project. She and her friend Shannon decided to put together a wedding shower for her best friend Cassie and her fiance and it was a beautiful event that was executed really well.

Coming back to the renovation, Gina also wanted her bathroom renovated because the floor was sinking in. They also decided to change the wall tiles and after taking them all out, Christina's team was apprised with the information that the tile they needed was out of stock and sometime would be required to source it.

This was a cause of concern because this was the main bathroom and needed to be fixed quickly. However, their supplier came through for them and got them what they required in record timing and the renovation was completed as scheduled.

It was now time for the final reveal and they couldn't take their eyes off the walnut cabinets and drawers, the peninsula, the open layout, the new tiles and others. Their kitchen finally was as glam as the rest of the house and all Eric and Gina could say was "sexy sexy sexy."

This episode of 'Christina on the Coast' aired on Thursday at 9 pm on HGTV. Catch the rerun of this episode on Sept 11 at 12 am ET.
