'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon': Chris Evans reveals he spoiled the 'Avengers: Endgame' for co-star Anthony Mackie

He shared that the reveal happened when he had a few people come over to watch a football game, and Anthony was the first one to show up.

If you thought that Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland were the only cast members of the 'Avengers: Endgame' who revealed spoilers prior to the movie's release, you'll be surprised to know that Chris Evans also spoiled the movie.

Appearing on 'The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon' on Monday night, Chris Evans spilled the beans on how he spoiled the fate of all the characters to his co-star Anthony Mackie not knowing that he hadn't received the script as yet. Revealing that the scripts were all lock and key, Chris shared that they had given him the scene where he gives the shield to Anthony. While they were filming in Atlanta, Chris had already read the scene. He shared that the reveal happened when he had a few people come over to watch a football game, and Anthony was the first one to show up.

"While we were filming in Atlanta, I had a few people over to watch football and Mackie was the first one to show up. I didn’t know he didn’t know what was going to happen," Chris said. Continuing he added, “I say, ‘Hey man, isn’t that scene fantastic?’ and he said, ‘What scene?’ And I said, ‘The scene where I give you the shield!’ And he said, ‘You’re giving me the shield?’”

Stunned, Chris then added that he went into the room got the scene and showed it to Anthony. He revealed that he got to watch Anthony read the scene for the first time where he is getting the shield. He shared that it was a nice moment for both the actors to share the transition of their characters.

'Avengers: Endgame' went on to be a major success. The movie grossed nearly $2.8 billion worldwide and broke a slew of records.
