'Charmed' Season 2 Episode 9: Maggie and Mel receive an unexpected visitor as the witches try to regroup
Now that 'Charmed' fans have got a confirmation that the show has been renewed for a third season by The CW, they can return to watching the show without any worries as the show arrives this Friday after its winter break.
But first, let's recap what happened in the fall finale. After Parker asked Maggie to marry him, Maggie did agree and almost got married when Harry and Macy swooped in at the last moment to whisk Maggie away, with a little help from Abigael, Parker's half-sister.
However, this led Parker down a spiral and he goes to attack Jordan at SafeSpace. The sisters show up and with a little help from Mel who freezes Parker with the help of an amber liquid, Abigael presumably kills him. Later, we learn that Abigael has not killed Parker, but has rather imprisoned him as she takes over as the Demon Overlord. What was more surprising for fans, however, was the passionate kiss she shared with Harry -- which Macy spied on -- who remains in the dark regarding Abigael's exploits.
In this week's episode of 'Charmed', Mel and Maggie make a startling discovery that turns their world upside down. From the promo for the episode, we see yet another masked man on their tail. However, when they unmask him, they realize it's their father -- the same father whose funeral Maggie attended earlier in the season.
Perhaps papa Vera faked his death thinking that people were after him -- from what he knows, his wife and two daughters died within the span of a year of each other. Nevertheless, he has a lot of explaining to do.
Meanwhile, Eric Balfour ('24', 'Haven') will be guest-starring as a SafeSpace investor who has a chance encounter with Macy. According to the synopsis, the said chance encounter takes an unexpected turn. Could sparks fly between the two, perhaps making Harry a little jealous?
