CW orders five additional scripts from 'The Charmed' reboot series

The network has asked for five additional scripts for the show along with two other fresh series, 'All American' and 'Legacies'. 

The CW has passed a vote of confidence in the reboot of series 'Charmed' even though the date of its premiere is days away. TV Line reported, that the network has asked for five additional scripts for the show along with two other fresh series, 'All American' and 'Legacies'. While 'Charmed' and 'All American' received an order of five scripts, 'Legacies' received a three-script order by the network. 'Charmed' had previously received a full, 13-episode series order and will air on Sundays.

'Charmed' puts a 2018 spin on the classic series, introducing Macy (Madeleine Mantock), Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery), three sisters who discover that they’re actually powerful witches after the death of their mother. They will be taught to use the powers to fight "the everyday and supernatural battles that all modern witches must face: from vanquishing powerful demons to toppling the patriarchy" reported Comicbook. The show is developed by 'Jane the Virgin' creator Jennie Urman with Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin.
