CBS debuts musical game show 'Superfan' starring Nate Burleson and Keltie Knight amid SAG-AFTRA strike
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Hollywood is seeing one of the biggest strikes as the SAG-AFTRA members continue to voice their demands on the picket line. The production of several shows has halted as it's quite uncertain when things will go back to normal.
Amid the current circumstances, CBS has released a new show, a rare sight on TV in the past few weeks. 'Superfan' premiered with its first episode on the night of Wednesday, August 9, featuring showrunner and host Keltie Knight alongside 'CBS Mornings' star Nate Burleson.

CBS 'Superfan' is under a non-struck contract
Burleson shared a story on Instagram, revealing that 'Superfan' is not going against the rules of the union and wholly respects them. His story contained a post originally shared by Carolyn Conrad, an entertainment lawyer with some experience in TV appearances herself.
It was a picture of Conrad with Knight at the picket line with the former sporting a union T-shirt. The post read, "Ran into [Keltie] on the street!! To be clear, she's a proud union member and her show is under a non-struck @sagaftra contract."
Knight had supposedly decided to go along with the six-episode show keeping in mind all the demands of the strike that more or less disallow union members from providing their services to companies that are struck in the contract for all the members.
What is CBS' 'Superfan' about?
'Superfan' came into production through the ideas of Knight, a Canadian television personality who came to the industry as a correspondent and is now running a whole show. The reality show invites fans of major musical artists and fights for the title of the "Superfan" with several rounds of trivia based on their idols.
The show is set to feature six popular artists through its run of six episodes and has already kicked off the first episode with rapper LL Cool J. Moreover, the rest of the line-up includes Gloria Estefan, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Pitbull, and Shania Twain.
Viewers can catch the show every Wednesday at 9 pm ET on CBS and the following day on Paramount Plus.
