NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Fox & Friends' regular Ainsley Earhardt remains absent from the morning show as Carley Shimkus filled in for her.

Earhardt had announced earlier in the week that she would be away from the studio, covering another segment for the show.

Earhardt has to travel for this particular segment and will not be in New York while joining her fellow Fox hosts remotely on Friday, September 8.

Ainsley Earhardt to take over 'Breakfast with Friends'

On Tuesday, September 5, Earhardt revealed that she will be taking over the 'Fox & Friends' segment called 'Breakfast with Friends' this week.

In this segment, a Fox News hosts visits a popular restaurant anywhere in the country and sits down to have conversations with the visitors and viewers about the current political and social state of the country.

Often, Fox also invites important figures such as candidates for the 2024 presidential elections. GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will be one of the special guests on this segment.

This week's breakfast segment will be held in a resturant in Iowa called Urbandale Machine Shed.

It added, "Ainsley Earhardt will be conducting interviews with presidential candidates. Doors open at 5am for breakfast. Don't miss it!"
