After conquering hearts with her melodious music, singing sensation Camila Cabello will be looking to mesmerize everyone with her acting skills in her first feature film ‘Cinderella’. The movie will be premiering exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, September 3.

The movie will be another rendition of the classic fairy tale by Charles Perrault, but it is reported that there will be some differences from the original plot. Cabello is one of the most popular celebrities in the world right now and appeals to millions of youngsters. It will be dream come true for them to see their favorite celebrity donning the iconic gown for the movie.

Cabello has been a musician since 2012 and has given several chart-topping hits. In the process, she has a made a fortune as well. Let’s take a look at how much the singer has earned over the years.



 

Early life and Career

Born on March 3, 1997, in Havana, Cuba, Camilla relocated to Miami when she was just six years of age. She acquired American citizenship in 2008 and attended Miami Palmetto High School to study. However, she left the school to pursue a career in the field of music.

In 2012, she auditioned for the singing reality TV show ‘The X Factor’ and sang Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect’. However, the audition was never shown because the show did not the rights for the song. After being eliminated during “bootcamp” portion of the show, Camilla was called up to the stage along with other contestants Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane to form the girl group.

The group performed and finished third on the show. They signed a deal with Syco Music and named themselves ‘Fifth Harmony’. The group turned out to be massively successful and produced two studio albums – ‘Reflection’ and ‘7/27’ – from 2015-2016. Their songs, ‘Worth It’ and ‘Work from Home’, became blockbuster hits and reached Billboard’s top 10 lists.

However, Cabello left the band in 2016 and started a solo career.

Solo Career

Cabello started collaborating with various musicians such as Cashmere, Pitbull, J Balvin, Major Lazer, Travis Scott, and Quavo. In 2018, she came out with her debut studio album titled ‘Camila’. One of the songs from the album, ‘Havana’, was released as a promotional single, but it received so many positive reviews that it became the lead single.

The song clinched the numero uno position at the UK Singles Chart and held the position for five more weeks. ‘Havana’ reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week after spending seven non-consecutive weeks occupying the number two spot behind both Post Malone and 21 Savage's ‘Rockstar’.

In 2019, she came out with a single titled ‘Senorita’ along with Shawn Mendes. It nabbed the top position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was the third best-selling song of 2019 globally.

Philanthropy

In 2016, she announced that was partnering with “Save the Children” NGO to design a “Love Only” t-shirt to help raise awareness of issues involving girls' equal access to education, health care, and opportunities to succeed. The Cuban-American singer also partnered with the Children's Health Fund, a non-profit dedicated to providing health care to low-income families with children.

In March 2019, she donated $10,000 to a GoFundMe campaign for a homeless immigrant. Recently, she teamed up with Movement Voter Fund, a non-profit organization, to launch the Healing Justice Project. The project will give frontline workers and activists access to mental health support.



 

She has also participated in different fundraising concerts to raise money for causes like the ACLU, hurricane relief, and breast cancer research.

Real Estate

After garnering a lot of success from creating music, Cabello bought an amazing home in 2019. The singer purchased a four-bedroom Mediterranean-style villa in Hollywood Hills worth $3.38 million.  It is a 3570 square foot mansion with four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The house also includes a pool, a fireplace, and many other features as well.



 

Achievements and Awards

Cabello has been nominated for numerous awards in her career and won over 90 accolades for her music. She received a couple of nominations at the Grammys in 2019 for her song ‘Havana’. The song was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance while the album, ‘Camila’, was nominated in the Best Pop Vocal Album category. Her third Grammy nomination came with ‘Senorita’ (with Shawn Mendes) at the 2020 Grammys.
The star has five American Music Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, two Latin Grammy awards, and more.

The musician’s first studio album, titled ‘Camila’, is certified ‘Platinum’ in 9 countries, including the US, Canada, and New Zealand. Meanwhile, the album reached the top of the Billboard 200. On the other hand, her second album ‘Romance’, received ‘Platinum’ certification in four countries.
