'Cinderella' Full Cast List: Meet Camila Cabello and others from the fairytale flick
There have been several renditions of the ‘Cinderella’ story over the years and it’s time for Amazon to join the bandwagon of production studios coming out to tell the fairy tale in their own way. The production giant is set to release the new ‘Cinderella’ on its platform and fans are really excited to see what new things they’ll be able to see during the new film.
The upcoming movie will be the second live-action movie on ‘Cinderella’. The first one, directed by Kenneth Branagh, debuted in 2015 and starred Lily James in the titular role. As far as the latest rendition is concerned, the movie will see pop-sensation Camila Cabello playing the Disney princess and try to find her prince charming before the clock strikes 12 at night. However, things are different this time around because apart from prince charming, she is also looking for freedom.

Camila Cabello as Cinderella
Cabello needs no introduction and is undoubtedly one of the most famous media personalities in the world right now. Cabello started her career as a singer and auditioned for The X Factor, a singing reality competition. Cabello was called to the stage with four other girls and judges told them to form a band that would later go on to known as Fifth Harmony. The group finished third, but they signed a deal with Syco Music and released their music. The group achieved a lot of success and gave several hits.
In 2016, she left the group to start a solo career. Her debut album ‘Camila’ was a huge success and gave her the foundation to kickstart a solo singing career. One of the songs, titled ‘Havana’, turned out to be a gigantic hit. Upon its release, the single reached number one in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Hungary, and the United States. The song became Spotify’s most-streamed song ever by a solo female artist in June 2018, with over 888 million streams at the time.
Since then, the musician has given several amazing tracks such as ‘Sangria Wine’, ‘Beautiful’, ‘Senorita’, ‘Cry for Me’ and ‘Shameless’. She has five American Music Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, and two Latin Grammy Awards, to her name.
Cabello has also been nominated for two Grammys in her career.
Idina Menzel as Vivian (Cinderella’s step-mother)
Born on May 30, 1971, Menzel rose to prominence as a stage actress when she played Maureen Johnson in the Broadway musical ‘Rent’, her Broadway debut. Her impeccable performance made her earn a nomination at the Tony Awards in Best Featured Actress in a Musical category. She is known for playing Shelby Corcoran on the musical drama-comedy TV series ‘Glee’. In 2013, Menzel voiced the character of Elsa in the animated musical film ‘Frozen’. The movie turned out to be a record-breaking project and became the highest-grossing animated movie of all time.
Menzel garnered a lot of recognition for her song ‘Let It Go’. The song went on to win an Academy Award and a Grammy. The song also won Best Song Written for a Film accolade at the World Music Awards. Apart from being an actress, she is also a musician and has four original studio albums to her name.
Menzel will be next seen in the movie ‘Disenchanted’ along with Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, and Maya Rudolph.
Billy Porter as the Fab G (genderless Fairy Godmother)
Porter achieved a lot of fame while appearing on several theatre productions at the start of his career. However, she was first noticed on the American talent show ‘Star Search’ in 1992 and $100,000. Porter wrote and performed in his one-person autobiographical show, ‘Ghetto Superstar (The Man That I Am)’. In 2018, Porter starred in the FX show ‘Pose’ in the role of Pray Tell.
The actor has won several awards while working on Broadway, including a Tony Award in the Best Actor in a Musical category for ‘Kinky Boots’. Meanwhile, in 2019, he won the Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for ‘Pose’.
Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Robert
Galitzine is one of the new faces to enter the industry. He started his acting career in 2014 with the movie ‘The Beat Beneath My Feet’ alongside Luke Perry. On the other hand, he made his Television debut with ‘Legends’. Galitzine received his first major TV role in the Netflix horror drama series ‘Chambers’ and gained a lot of prominence.
Minnie Driver as Queen Beatrice
The actress is undoubtedly one of the prominent names in Hollywood and she has the credentials to prove that. Her professional career started with a TV advertisement for ‘Right Guard’ deodorant. Driver also made her stage debut in 1991, supplementing her income by performing as a jazz vocalist and guitarist.
However, her moment of glory came in 1997 when she was cast as Skylar in the critically-acclaimed movie ‘Good Will Hunting’. The movie turned out to be a huge success and garnered her Academy Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category.
In 2004, she starred in the Oscar-nominated film ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ and got herself nominated at the Satellite Awards. The actress went on to give another amazing performance in the TV series ‘The Riches’, for which she was nominated for an Emmy.
Driver was recently seen in ‘Speechless’ as the lead actress.
Pierce Brosnan as King Rowan
The Irish actor gained universal recognition while the MI6 agent James Bond in the movie franchise of the same name. Brosnan was signed for a three-film Bond deal with the option of a fourth. The first, 1995's ‘GoldenEye’, was a commercial success and made $350 million globally. He returned to reprise the role in 1997’s ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ and 1999’s ‘The World is Not Enough’. On the other hand, he played the iconic character for the fourth time in the 2002 movie ‘Die Another Day’.
All the aforementioned titles were successful at the box office and made him a global star. Since then, Brosnan has gone on to star in movies like ‘Dante’s Peak’, ‘Laws of Attraction’, ‘The Matador’, ‘Mamma Mia!’, ‘No Escape’, ‘Death Train’, ‘Night Watch’ and ‘The Simpsons’.
