Brittany Renner and PJ Washington: Inside NBA's most dysfunctional relationship
It seems Brittany Renner is taking no sh*t as she recently went on the ‘Off the Record’ podcast with DJ Akademiks and cleared the air around her broken relationship with PJ Washington. She also refuted the allegations that she became the mother of the Charlotte Hornets star's baby to “bamboozle” him for money.
Speaking on the podcast about their son — Paul Jermaine Washington III — Renner said: “That was his choice. I don’t have to leg-lock n—as… that child was planned,” before explaining, “You asked me to move in with you. You wanted me to have your child at 22-years-old. And here we are. I told you, ‘I’m ok to wait. I’m not in a rush.’”

Referring to Washington, who turned 23 in August, the Instagram model added: “You’re old enough to ride this ride. You want to f–k with me… so why are we babying men that are making a decision for themselves. I was on birth control up until I had a conversation with my baby father… I have no reason to lie about anything that I have done or the person that I am and I believe in full transparency.”
During the show, Renner recalled she was 26 when she met Washington. She got an invitation from the 23-year-old player to watch him play for the University of Kentucky. As per reports, the two became official earlier this year and also shared the news of becoming parents in March. However, later in summer, things started to change for the worse as rumors began circulating that Washington was paying Renner around $200k per month in child support. At the time, Washington wrote on Twitter: “stop the [lies],” using a cap emoji.
On Akademiks’ podcast, Renner, who has previously been linked to several celebrities and athletes, including Colin Kaepernick, James Harden, Trey Songz, Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Jamal Murray, Ben Simmons, and Chris Brown, said, “I’ve always been in it for true love… I thought that was my guy. I’ve been with men with way more money… if I was truly trying to cash out, I would’ve cashed out five-six years ago with men with a lot more.”
The 29-year-old also claimed that her son with the former first-round pick was not an “oops baby,” before insisting that Washington is “not a good partner”. “No one’s been finessed, no one’s been bamboozled,” she added. Renner has shared a snippet from the podcast on her Instagram account too, where she wrote: “I am so happy I did this interview with @iamakademiks for @offtherecordclips on @spotify because it truly sheds light on a mentality a lot of men have and it’s helpful to know what we as women are up against Lastly, I am in the process of getting my own podcast and writing another book. BUCKLE UP!!!”
A lot of people appreciated her for her frankness as a fan commented, “authenticity and power exudes from you!” Another one said, “Can’t wait for your PODDDD.” “I agree with her 100%. Why be ashamed of your past. We have done shit. Live and learn and then move on,” the third one added.
