Travis Clark and Katie Bates have been seeing each other for eight months and it looks like things are getting serious between the two. In the latest episode of the show (July 23), the Bates family decided to throw Valentine's party that had all the family members come together.

Katie was excited to welcome Travis for the party and thought it would be a good way for him to interact with the rest of the family. Speaking to the camera, Katie admitted that she felt good about Travis being there and things had been going well between the two.

She further hinted that there might be a possibility of courtship on the way but nothing was discussed. Looking at how easily Travis gelled with the family, Gil and Kelly Bates were also happy to see him. As soon as he interacted with everyone, the Bates family decided to kick start their yearly tradition and have some fun activities involved.

The first game saw Gil and Kelly giving a scratch card to each of the family members. Whoever got lucky and obtained the winner card received a chance to choose from a collection of things that were laid out as awards. Luckily for Travis, he happened to win too. The next task that the family was asked to do was perform the Charleston dance.

The dance was famous in the 1920s and the family members had to make sure they were able to follow the steps. Travis did not hesitate to be part of this dance and enjoyed it. Up next, the family had a costume competition. Each family had decided to choose a personality from the 1920s to dress as.

Right from Charlie Chaplin to Albert Einstein, each of them put their best foot forward. Surprisingly, Katie decided to take part as well. Gil and Kelly were surprised to see Katie taking part because before this, she had never shown any interest in being part of the competition.

The family thought Travis had convinced her to be part of a tradition and were happy to see the change that was brought in. Even though Travis and Katie did not win the competition, looking at how he has gotten comfortable with everyone, maybe a courtship will be announced soon.

'Bringing Up Bates' airs on Thursdays at 9 pm ET on UP.
