‘Bridezillas’: Wemo buys second ring worth $20K after fiancée Evelyn insists, fans say 'she doesn't love him'

She made her fiance a long list of dowry that included domestic goods (like palm, sugar, oil etc) to fabrics

In the finale episode of the season, we met bride Toshin, a practising nurse, and her fiance, Saint (Wemo), a doctor. The 30-year-old bride wanted to have a traditional Nigerian wedding but didn’t know how to go about it.

In stark contrast with bride Evelyn, who appeared in one of the previous episodes of ‘Bridezillas’ and also had a Nigerian wedding, this bride was trying to sort everything out in two days. She made her fiance a long list of dowry that included domestic goods (like palm, sugar, oil etc) to fabrics. During the episode of Evelyn's wedding, we saw the dowry list can go from domestic goods to bulls, cows and chicken. A viewer wrote a post on twitter saying, “Oh no some more dowry drama. #Bridezillas,” to which former bride Evelyn commented saying, “Wouldn’t be right without our dowry drama Lol.”

One thing Toshin was certain of was she wanted another diamond ring because the ring that her fiance proposed with was not big enough. She took him to the jewellery store to buy her another ring. Wemo said it didn’t make sense spending so much money on another ring but the bride was adamant. “Bruh gonna be working overtime to limit those tantrums,” wrote a viewer. Another wrote, “She literally said she needs a ring to show their status. This man is going to get tired of her blowing his money after about three years.”

Toshin’s rehearsal dinner was a mess as she forced her bridesmaids to learn the choreography of a traditional Nigerian dance within 2 hours. “If you’re going to add non-Nigerians in a Nigerian wedding and not teach them cultural traditions well in advance, you can’t expect them to just know. Tosin is getting on my nerves lol I feel like she’s my long lost cousin,” wrote a viewer.

Hours before the wedding, the doctor surprised his bride with the $20,000 ring she wanted and Toshin was so happy she started hopping around the room. While the doctor won our hearts, Toshin came off as selfish and materialistic as she didn’t care about anything else going on during the wedding. Host Loni Love who was on live tweet during the show wrote, “Dr Hottie came thru with the DIAMOND.” “RT if the size of your bling makes you wanna sing.” tweeted the official handle of the show with a gif of happy bride Toshin. “I love Dr Wemo! All men should take a few pages out of his book” wrote a viewer.

While viewers drooled over the generosity of the doctor, they were not a big fan of the selfish bride, “So it’s all about the ring.... yeah that’s gonna be a great marriage.” Another viewer said Toshin had nothing to do with the groom and everything to do with the bride, “Tosin it was about the  ring she does not love him .  She all about her and selfish after they got married  said love this and showed ring .”

After all the drama, their wedding went flawlessly as they wore beautiful African traditional dresses and followed all the rituals. The wedding venue was colorful and bright and the bride and the groom looked gorgeous. “African weddings are so beautiful,” wrote a viewer. “Glad Tosin and Wemo are finally married! Their Nigerian wedding was amazing! Loved seeing all the colorful outfits on everybody, too!” wrote another.
