'Blindspot' Season 5 Finale: Fans demand Rich and Patterson spin-off with adventures in Indiana Jones style

There's always a lot of buzz about the friendship between Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) and Patterson (Ashley Johnson). Fans have been hoping for ages that it blossoms into something more, but the two have stayed fast friends. It has been an exciting season for the two, as in one episode, Patterson and Rich made fans' hearts flutter when they solved some extensive puzzles to find the Gardner paintings.
It wasn't easy, as Patterson had to wrack her brains and use all her brilliance to figure out all the numerous codes and puzzles. After Jane Doe (Jaime Alexander) and Weller found themselves in a bit of a spot while trying to retrieve the paintings, Patterson and Rich dressed up as a nun and a priest and got the Gardner paintings and brought it back to Ice Cream (yes that's his name), who was almost holding them hostage. Plus, Rich was particularly heartbroken when he thought that Patterson was dead.
Since then, fans have been hoping for the two to start dating. And a particular hug scene might just have fuelled their interest. "I would watch a Blindspot spinoff that just features Patterson and Rich Dot Com going on random Indiana Jones-style adventures. @nbc make this happen #NBC #Blindspot@NBCBlindspot @martingero," a fan tweeted. "Rich: "we are about to spin off into a bunch of prime time adventures you just have to see." I see what you did there @NBCBlindspot and if you give me a rich and Patterson spin off I promise I'll watch every week!! #Blindspot," tweeted a fan.
"Yaaassss!! Patterson and Rich teaming up in Antártica is everything #Blindspot," a fan wrote. "I totally want the Rich@ennisesmer and Patterson@TheVulcanSalute Treasure Hunting Adventure #Blindspot spinoff! @martingero #Blindspot100 #BlindspotFinale," another wrote. "Can we please get a spin-off of Patterson and Rich as treasure hunters? #Blindspot," a fan tweeted. "Patterson and Rich around the world, finding treasure, solving ancient mysteries! In prime-time, no less! (Film it in CA, so the Critters don’t riot, and I’m all in," another fan wrote.
Well, we don't know if that happens, but fans definitely feel that it is the spinoff they deserve. Tune into 'Blindspot' on NBC at 9 pm every Thursday.
