Amid the immense hype for Rosé's debut solo album, the Blackpink idol is set to make an appearance on an upcoming episode of NBC's late-night talk show 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'.

According to Headline Planet on March 9, Rosé is confirmed to perform on the popular NBC talk show on March 16 at 11.35 pm ET.
Concept
While it is unclear if the singer will perform more than one song, YG Entertainment has revealed that Rosé will take to 'The Tonight Show' stage to perform 'On The Ground', the title track from 'R', her debut album. 'Doctor Strange' star Benedict Cumberbatch and 'Riverdale' actress Madelaine Petsch will also appear as guests along with her on the show that night.
Rosé's debut album has already broken the Korean female soloist pre-order record with 400,000 copies sold, also features the B-side 'Gone'. Due to the current pandemic situation, Rosé’s performance is expected to be pre-recorded from South Korea.
Rosé's upcoming appearance on the show is both a significant milestone for the singer as a soloist and marks a huge achievement for K-pop internationally. It will mark the first time a K-pop soloist has ever performed on the show.
In September 2020, K-pop boy group BTS appeared on the show. Before that appearance, Blackpink had also been featured on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' as a group in June 2020. At the time, the girl group had premiered the performance of 'How You Like That' and took on the 'Try Not to Laugh' challenge with Jimmy Fallon.
Rosé will join the line-up of celebs who will be interviewed on the Tonight show in the coming week, including rapper Freddie Gibbs, Japanese Breakfast, Camilo and Adrianne Lenker, according to NME.
