Blackpink Rosé fans have recorded the Instagram feed showing that from Rosé’s profile, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa’s profile come in suggestion, but her account isn't appearing on theirs

Right before Blackpink’s Rosé starts her solo promotion for her ‘official’ solo debut, Rosé fans claim that Instagram has shadowbanned the K-pop crooner’s profile. Fans of the K-pop artiste has also screen recorded the Instagram feed as ‘proof’ and took it to Twitter to urge Instagram to lift shadowban.

Blackpink’s Rosé is ready to make her solo debut with the single ‘All My Love Is Gone.’ Previously, the Blackpink K-pop star performed her first solo track in their first-ever live virtual concert ‘The Show’. With her solo debut coming closer, fans are claiming that this Instagram shadowban is going to affect the singer’s promotional activities.

Was Rosé’s account shadowbanned?

According to a report, Instagram shadowban refers to the platform limiting your content and restricting the visibility for users. One of the indicators of Instagram shadowbanning a profile is when the related hashtags stop appearing in the feed outside the profile’s followers. Though Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri claimed in 2019 that “shadowbanning is not a thing. If someone follows you on Instagram, your photos and videos can show up in their feed if they keep using the feed”, netizens have noticed that sometimes a profile does get shadow-banned where the profile’s visibility gets restricted.

Blackpink Rosé fans have recorded the Instagram feed showing that from Rosé’s profile, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa’s profile come in suggestion. But when they go to the rest of the members’ profiles, Rosé’s page isn’t appearing which suggests the shadowban.

A fan wrote to Instagram saying, “We've noticed that Rosé's Instagram account (Roses_are_rosie) has been shadowbanned. Can you please look into it and fix? She is about to start her solo promotions and that is the only personal account she uses. Thanks in advance!” Another fan wondered, "oh rosé is really on shadowban?? i check it using my pet instagram which never following rosie or any of the pinks and it's true she doesn't appear on the recommendation list!" Another stated, "i just knew shadowban exist on ig since rosé is shadowbanned!"

Instagram is yet to respond.

Rosé has released a date for her debut writing 03.12 and while some fans were confused if the singer meant December or March, most believe that the singer will be dropping the solo project on March 12.
