'Black Ink Crew: Chicago': Phor's alleged daughter should have been kept out of DNA test discussion, say fans
In this week's episode of 'Black Ink Crew: Chicago' we witness a turn in Phor's story.
Even though Don has Phor's best interests at heart, the way he brought up the DNA test at a crowded restaurant was totally uncalled for. He also insisted that the test be done before Nashauna (the mother) can claim Iyanah is Phor and her daughter. Feeling humiliated and disrespected, Nashauna left the area only to be convinced by the show's producer, Manny, to take up Don on his demand. She picks up a swab stick from the paternity test kit and leaves.
Amid all this, Phor is left confused and does not know what to think of the whole situation. He knows Don could have taken a different route to approach the topic, but also acknowledges that he did what is best for everyone.
The test results come back in two weeks but that is least of Phor's concerns as he admits to being puzzled about where life is headed for him. He is emotionally involved in this situation because he relates to Iyanah and the fact that both of their fathers have not been around for them.
Phor is clear in his intentions. He wants to be there for his daughter. Last week, they even went on a salon date and had a good conversation about her future, likes and dislikes, and such.
Don appreciates all of his efforts but his only issue is Phor interacting with the little girl without taking a DNA test. When Phor confronted Don about his method to get to the truth, Don said if Nashauna was so sure of Iyanah being Phor's daughter she would have taken the test immediately without putting up a show.
Meanwhile, fans online feel that though Don was right in openly discussing the test, it could have been brought up with the child gone from the scene because it was too much too soon for her. Iyanah does not deserve to be put through such grown-up talks.
"This Phor storyline is some bs! The child should not have even been revealed if her Mama wanted to do this on national tv! All of the adults make a poor decision with this storyline! #BlackInkCHI," a fan wrote.
Another posted: "This storyline is about to make me mad. She should not be putting that baby through this! #BlackInkCHI."
"Yeah, this Phor storyline has officially pissed me off! This is inappropriate! That child should not be on national tv looking for her Dad and doing no damn DNA test. Her classmates, friends, etc. should not see her going through this on tv! Very bad decision! #BlackInkCHI," a viewer expressed.
Let's hope Phor is able to get to the bottom of all this soon.
