Benny the Butcher taps J Cole for 'Johnny P’s Caddy', fans say ‘world is finally making sense’

Benny’s latest track serves as a lead single from his ‘Tana Talk 4’ which is expected to hit the leading streaming platforms in the year later

Benny the Butcher, who is one of the most consistent rappers in the game, shook the Internet on Friday, January 28 after he dropped his brand new single called 'Johnny P’s Caddy' with acclaimed hip-hop artist J Cole. And, if this was not enough Benny got the iconic record producer Alchemist on board who took care of the production. The track also coincides with J Cole’s 37th birthday.
 
The J Cole assisted Benny’s latest track serves as a lead single from the latter’s upcoming album ‘Tana Talk 4’ which is expected to hit the leading streaming platforms in the year later. J Cole in 2019 had announced that he won’t be doing any more features but since then he has lent his vocals to a couple of rap songs including the latest. Speaking of Benny the Butcher’s ‘Tana Talk 4’, the album is a follow-up to its third part that was released back in 2018.

 Benny The Butcher taps J Cole for new single 'Johnny P’s Caddy'

Speaking about linking with J Cole for the new track, Benny, in an official statement said, “Any rapper will tell you when you’re working with someone like Cole, it’s like a match of wits; you gotta go crazy because you know he is. Iron sharpens iron.” Benny added, “You want it to be an environment where someone has the presence to push you.  It’s dope!” In the track, both Benny and Cole reflect on career achievements while also taking a moment to speak about the impact they have had on hip-hop.
 
Benny, who also dropped a music video for his new single, goes fierce with his verse rapping, “This ain't my story 'bout rags to riches, more 'bout how I mastered physics (Uh-huh)/ In the game, I used to train like Rocky, catchin' chickens (Yeah)/ I was nice, but they was right when they told me that rap a business/ I had ten bands in my stash when I passed over half a million.” Cole hops on the verse in the second half rapping, “Of course I'm tryin' to revive a sport that's dyin'/ But the guns and the drug balls that y'all relyin'/ Got these nerds thinkin' that you (N-word) hard as I am/ But that just mean I ain't as comfortable as y'all with lyin’”. ‘Put some respect on the Butcher for this!’

Hip-hop fanatics could not hold their excitement as they rushed to Twitter to share their valuable opinion on 'Johnny P’s Caddy'. “J Cole was absolutely snapping on this track! I was extra excited to hear him rap on this style of production and he definitely delivered. I can’t wait to see more Griselda x Cole collabs in the future!”, said one fan as another elated fan posted, “Idk what the f**k just happened but I know I love Hip Hop.” The next one shared, “I dont need to hear anything else anymore this the song of the year idc if its January.”
 
Meanwhile, one user tweeted, “This is f**king incredible, put some respect on the Butcher for this!” Another chimed in, “This J.Cole verse is absolutely insane. Cole and Benny Snapped! Production was insane asf! Alchemist goated.” Whereas, one user posted, “That Benny and J. Cole just put me in a place.” Echoing similar sentiments, one user shared, “Incredible track. Cole continues to be great and Benny always shows up.” One optimistic fan said, “Hopeful for more Benny The Butcher & J.
