'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' is turning out to be quite the spin-off. It seems to be well on its way to exceeding expectations in terms of content and gossip. In just two episodes, viewers have witnessed an explosive feud between chef Natasha De Bourg and chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher and a wildly inappropriate hookup involving Gary King and his teammate Sydney Zaruba. What's next? A Covid-19 scare.

From what we have seen in the preview clip, one of the guests from the next charter falls sick, triggering an alarm across the board. The medics are called on for Covid-19 testing after the guest apparently complains of a fever.

Ideally, this should not have happened if we went by Captain Glenn Shephard's statement ahead of the sophomore season. "Croatia had a very low incidence," he explained during the 'Mention It All' podcast and added: "so that's one of the reasons why it was chosen. But you still have to take all the precautions — one positive could probably shut down the whole charter season."

Meanwhile, fans weighed in with their two cents about the upcoming Covid-19 drama. Some even speculated that the season could be shorter. "This season is going to be 6 episodes long because someone brought covid on the boat," a fan commented on Reddit, to which another responded: "Covid on the boat. Whelp that's the end of the season! Good night! LOL." Another said, "I was kind of hoping we wouldn’t have any COVID drama."

"I live for the drama on Below Deck. a guest with 101 fever next episode!? Guest cabin sex drama?! This crew is MESSY #BelowDeckSailingYacht," a Twitter user pointed out, while another shared: "Nothing like seeing the doc show up in a hazmat suit during Covid after everyone was sucking face #BelowDeckSailing." One more said, "I wonder when this was filmed bc if some shit happens like it did with #BelowDeck and the charters get canceled bc of COVID, I'm gonna be sad. #BelowDeckSailing." A fan wrote, "So... this was filmed in 2020. No one has to wear masks? #BelowDeckSailing."
