'Below Deck': Paget delivers cake half-naked but fans say he'll 'never be hot' and root for Chris instead
Bravo's 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' has returned with an all-new episode and it's dramatic, to say the least. Apart from the sailboat almost drowning and Jenna MacGillivray-Adam Glick losing it another time, Paget Berry had an equally interesting contribution to tonight's drama.
The charter guests had made an odd request. They wanted a 'hot deckhand' to serve them a birthday cake with no shirt on. Jenna asked if Paget would volunteer and he readily agreed. The instruction was followed by a sporadic workout and grooming session, in which Ciara Duggan slathered him with a moisturizing lotion because he was shirtless and was wearing the tiniest boxers.
However, it wasn't an easy challenge for Paget because he has been body-conscious. The deckhand was bullied in school for being "chubby" and hasn't been able to move past that experience completely.
"When I was younger at school, I was a little bit chubby and I was bullied for it. I still feel self-conscious about it. It's bigger than people realize, for me to go out and do that," Paget shared during his green-room interview.
However, his crewmates were supportive of him and cheered him on as he stepped out wearing nothing but a pair of boxers. Later, Ciara told him she was proud of him and added that she couldn't have done what he had done. Paget joked and said that he hopes that would bring the crew good tips.
Meanwhile, fans think Paget isn't "hot" and no amount of pushups will get him there. "Paget you could do pull ups for a year & you'll never be hot. Give it up.
