Barrie Drewitt-Barlow and fiancé Scott Hutchinson's relationship came under increased scrutiny after chief stewardess Daisy Kelliher stirred the pot. She looked them up on the internet and found stories that peddled false information. Later, she and a few of her teammates gossiped about it.
In an interview with MEAWW, Barrie not only called the 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' star out but also shared his side of the story and how the story of Scott causing Barrie and Tony's split is fabricated. He also took the time to explain that contrary to popular opinion, his daughter Saffron and Scott never dated.

"So to be clear, saffron and Scott were never really together, it was 100% a cover to protect Scott from people knowing he was gay and to give privacy to my relationship with Scott," Barrie confirmed and added that he and Scott met eight years ago on the sets of 'Fast and Furious. When we prodded him about Saffron's reaction, he revealed that it was her who was pushing them to date and be together.
The couple has been going steady and has big plans for the future. They recently welcomed a baby girl, Valentina, in September 2020 via surrogacy and wish to add more to the brood. Even though they have known each other for almost a decade now, the love is intact. Barrie and Scott have continued to be affectionate towards each other, which is evident in the way the former expressed his love.
"I love the fact that Scott has always had my back. He has always been there for me when I've felt down and has always been there for my kids too. I love the fact that he and Tony are the best of friends," he shared and added: "I love the fact that this beautiful man likes me for who I am and not what I can do for him like so many other people I’ve met over the years."
