'Below Deck': Malia and Sandy help Tom plate food for guests, upset fans say 'Kiko never had so much help'

Being a chef on a yacht comes easily to Tom Checketts. He has been doing this for years and yet has people from the crew, especially girlfriend Malia White, helping him out. Fans have pointed out that Hindrigo 'Kiko' Lorran was left to work his magic and there would hardly be anyone around him while he was putting dishes together. 

In this week's episode of 'Below Deck Mediterranean', Malia plated a number of dishes before it went up to the dining area. This was upsetting for the viewers because Kiko never had the luxury of that kind of help, even when he had sent out a total of 72 plates. They hinted at favoritism, which has been a major part of the narrative when it comes to Captain Sandy Yawn. Even though she has said she has been fair to one and all, loyalists of the show beg to differ. Most think that she is biased towards Malia and would do anything to make her comfortable and enjoy her role on the yacht. 

The guests were particular about the food. They are returning guests and so Sandy was aware of how one of them preferred the food to be hot and not warm. She scurried to the kitchen to share the information with Tom, who then had help from the chief stews and Malia. But that move was not appreciated by the fans because they are still sore from Kiko's exit. 

"Tom sure has a lot of help in the kitchen. Where were you Malia when Kiko needed help? #BelowDeckMed," a fan commented, while another shared: "Ridiculous Kiko never had no way near much this help Tom got #notcool #ReunionAddressed #choices #BelowDeckMED." 

"Omg Tom can't do anything alone! What a joke! He has like 5 sous chefs helping him plate etc.. why not help Kiko like that @CaptSandyYawn???? #BelowDeckMed," a user commented. "Tom always have a whole staff of help for dinner. Wish Kiko got half this support. #BelowDeckMed," another tweeted.
