'Below Deck' fans call out Ashton for his 'unreasonable' behavior towards Rhylee: 'He needs to be fired'
Ashton has always been vocal about his expectations from the team but Rhylee has been feeling that she is not given equal opportunities like the rest of the team members.
Rhylee is the only girl in the team but despite this, she does not feel like she is any less. She has always been confident about her skills but it seems like Ashton has a hard time seeing them.
In today's episode of the show, Rhylee seemed to feel that Ashton was knowingly not giving her the task even though she was sure that she could do a good job. The tension between the two rose when Ashton called his team members and asked them to tie a knot to the boat.
While the rest of the team members seemed to get into the task quickly, Ashton asks Rhylee to step away.
Rhylee felt that she was invisible in front of the other team members and was being appreciated for the work she does. She recalled there were times when the boys would come and redo the things that she had done to make it seem like she hadn't done it in the right way.
Even when Ashton tried to teach Rhylee how to make a perfect knot she seemed resistant towards learning and informed him that she had already perfected the skill.
This angered Ashton and he stormed out of the place. Looking at the behavior that Ashton portrayed, fans have been slamming him.
They believe he is being unreasonable and not leading the team as he should. "Ashton gets no respect from the crew because of how he behaves when he’s off-duty with the crew," read one comment.
Another added, "Ashton is an a*****e. I get @rhylee_gerber has a temper but it's clear that he's got a vendetta against Rhylee. He needs to be a leader rather than someone who bashes his crew. He needs to be fired."
Another user echoed similar thoughts and wrote. "Ashton has zero management skills or aptitude. Don’t get into a pissing contest with your staff. She did exactly as you asked and you still found fault?!?"
