Ruby Rose dropped a shocker last week when she announced she wouldn't be returning to 'Batwoman.' While this led to Rose and The CW show receiving mixed responses, the hunt for the new Kate Kane/Batwoman is on and fans seem to have found the perfect fit in 'Krypton' star Wallis Day. The call for Day to play Kate came in after she had expressed to play the role earlier.

Day is no stranger to the superhero genre. She played Nyssa-Vex in 'Krypton.' Nyssa was seen as an astute lawmaker, a brilliant tactician and was also the youngest daughter of the House Vex. Nyssa-Vex understands the city's politics and is utterly at home within the establishment of Kandor's ruling class. She's adept in the art of political alliance, but it is Seg who will teach her about friendship. She was a pivotal character in the series.

According to Fandom, her character overview reads: "The youngest daughter of House Vex, Nyssa-Vex understands the city's politics and is utterly at home within the establishment of Kandor's ruling class. She's adept in the art of political alliance, but it is Seg who will teach her about friendship. Despite her outward appearance of beauty and refinement, Nyssa is highly skilled in self-defense and weaponry."

"You would rock it as Batwoman," a fan wrote. "I would be so happy if you took on the role of Batwoman," another seconded. "Has anyone started a hashtag for this? #BatWallis, #WallisForBatwoman, and so on...  " asked a fan. "I really enjoyed your work on Krypton and would love to see you get this opportunity," a fan exclaimed.

"I’m debating continuing to follow #Batwoman Should you somehow get the role I would absolutely commit to watching season 2. & you have experience with a DC comic show, similar & stunning physique like Rose, & you have dealt with Superman’s relatives already in a previous life," a tweet read. "You would kill it.  Still miss Nyssa and Krypton!" a fan remarked. "You’d be 100x better than Ruby rose. I’m sorry but she’s not a good actress at all, terrible casting IMO", a fan tweeted.

"I know you will get that role. Here, wishing it becomes a reality," a fan wrote. "You're still the perfect fit for batwoman no matter what also you deserve all of that," another opined.

Even surprising was Day's reply to fans wanting her to play the role. She said, "Hi guys... first of all I want to address the fact that I've seen your tweets of love & support over the last week. I am so humbled and truly flattered that you think of my work so fondly enough to trust me with a role so precious to so many of you.. Thank you so so much. Xx." Previously the 25-year-old had expressed her wish to play the role. Adding to this is the fact that Day has been a staunch supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and her character, Nyssa was also explained to be bisexual. Only time will tell if Day will suit up as Batwoman.
