'Batwoman': 'Down the Rabbit Hole' Episode 2 name drops Robin and Wonder Woman, sparks theories of their presence in the Arrowverse

At the moment, there are two ways of looking at these nods. One as a comic reference while the other could be confirmation that both Robin and Diana existed at some stage in Earth-1.

The second episode of 'Batwoman' refers to two interesting names— Wonder Woman and Robin, sparking theories that the two characters are present out there somewhere in the Arrowverse. 'Down the Rabbit Hole' digs deeper into  Alice's (Rachel Skarsten) psyche and past. In addition, it also dealt with the aftermath of Kane (Ruby Rose) wearing the batman suit in public. The citizens' take was shown via radio broadcasts by Rachel Maddow's Vesper Fairchild.

Towards the end of the episode, a GCPD truck carrying Elizabeth Kane (Alice) toppled off a bridge and at that point, there was no savior in Bat's form. The following day, Vesper talks about the harrowing incident and questions where the Batman was adding if he was at "Robin's high-school graduation".  This comes moments after Kane references Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman. The season opener sees her rescue Sophie (Meagan Tandy) from Alice and the duo lock gazes soon after. Later, at the Crows HQ, Sophie directly asks Kane if she's the one wearing the bat suit. Kane denies this saying if she were to come to her rescue, she'd rather do it dressed as Wonder Woman.

At the moment, there are two ways of looking at these nods. One as a comic reference while the other could be confirmations that both Robin and Diana existed at some stage in Earth-1. Should the second theory hold true, we can certainly expect a shakeup in the upcoming 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'.  Supplementing the second theory is also the fact that season 2 of 'The Flash' sees Earth-2 Barry's (Grant Gustin) phone at home feature numbers of Diana, Bruce and Hal, whose alter-egos are Wonder Woman, Batman, and Green Lantern respectively, proving that these characters indeed existed.

For now, it's just pure speculation if these referenced heroes make an appearance in 'Crisis'. It's highly unlikely, but it's a possibility that it cannot be ruled out either.

'Batwoman' airs Sundays 8 pm on The CW.
