What does pre-fiancee mean? 'Basketball Wives' star Feby Torres raises cryptic toast to boyfriend Damien Berry
Feby Torres' storyline is yet to take off on 'Basketball Wives'. From what we have seen so far, she's grappling with a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend Damien Berry in New Jersey while she's in Florida. It has her worried, which can be seen in the way she narrates her situation to some of her family members.
Sisters Casey and Samantha aka Sammie, a popular TikTok video creator, "interrogate" her hoping to understand what lies in the future but what they get instead are a bunch of uncertain answers and a lot of pauses.
Although it does worry the two, they still assure Feby that this was a "serious" relationship and that they were happy for her. As they went about their conversation, Sammy asked what was next for them, which Feby had no answer to because she was still trying to understand their situation as a long-distance couple.
They then enquired if Feby saw Damien as someone who she'd get "old and grey" with. The 'BBW' star was quick to change the conversation when the sisters raised a toast and said that she is now ready for the "pre-fiancee" life, which left a lot of us confused.
Urban Dictionary describes "pre-fiancee" as "the stage when two people are in love and plan on getting engaged and married someday but are either too young or not ready to head to that stage yet." Let's hope Feby and Damien are able to figure something out for themselves before Season 9 ends.
Meanwhile, fans are bored of what the Season 7 joinee has to offer to the multiple storylines that keep the VH1 show alive. Some are of the opinion that the narrative seems forced.
"Ferby's storyline is nonexistent. Trash it and find someone else. Mickey mouse would have more of a storyline than her," one commented on the show's official Instagram handle, while another posted: "I'm still in shock that she's on this show .... I use to hang with Feby ... Brooklyn days."
"She is not good for the show. Very boring and beneath the brand. Please don’t bring her back," a user pointed out. "This is so forced. No one cares," another wrote.
