Jamie Durie is known for giving backyards a renovation that one would not have seen before. In the latest episode (Saturday, September 5), Jamie had the task of converting the backyard for the Baio family that included the husband and wife Mike and Kaylene Baio, and their three children, Nick, Jensen and Max Baio.

The family had been wishing to change the look of their backyard but they got overwhelmed with the amount of work that would go into it. After struggling with it for a long time, the family finally decided to seek help and called Jamie to come and turn their backyard into a welcoming space. When Jamie first saw the backyard, he was shocked. He admitted that it looked more like an enchanted forest or a jungle rather than a backyard. Covered with tall trees and bushes, Jamie knew that the space would require a lot of work. However, he was happy to see that the backyard had some surprising trees that could fetch a lot of money for the family.

Right from plants that were used to make jam to others that brought a sense of beauty with them, Jamie knew there were a few things that needed saving. Once he finished looking around, Jamie started the clearing process along with the Baio family. He knew it was going to be a lot of hard work but was certain that it could be completed in four days. The Baio family also came together to help Jamie. Each one of them then described what they were looking for in the backyard. Max revealed he wanted a fort area where he could play, Jensen stated she wanted a space to hang out with her friends. Nick too wanted an area where he could play basketball with his buddies.

Meanwhile, Mike wanted an area where the family could come together and Kaylene wanted a space where she could grow some fruits and vegetables. Jamie was pleased to hear their ideas and took it upon himself to make it a reality. At the same time, he decided to work on a secret project that consisted of reconnecting them with nature. As the family struggled to be in tune with their backyard, Jamie thought that his secret project would remind them how important a backyard is for the house. The Baio family was excited to work on their respective projects and once everyone was done, Jamie decided to take care of the last few things.

Finally, the Baio family invited their friends and family members to come and view their new backyard. The stunning renovation left everyone shocked and the Baio family confessed that they would be spending a lot of time in the backyard.

'Backyard Takeover' airs on Saturdays at 9 pm ET on HGTV.
