'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 9: Heartbreak strikes Kat Izzo as Tanner Courtad goes on a date with newbie Davia Bunch
SAYULITA, MEXICO: 'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 9 star Kat Izzo was left heartbroken after Tanner Courtad went on a date with the new bombshell Davia Bunch. However, Tanner and Davia sparked a connection on their first date only.
In the recent episode of the ABC show, Davia relayed to Kat that Tanner told her 'he was open to exploring other things.' However, Kat noted, "We haven't had, like, an exclusivity talk or anything like that."
Kat then tried to gauge how the date went. Davia said, "Seems like it’s something that he definitely wanted to continue to get to know me a little bit better."
She added, "He made it seem like this is something he wanted to pursue." Meanwhile, Kat and Tanner still needed to figure out where they stood and the viewer would get to know in the upcoming episode.

Kat Izzo's birthday turns into 'worst nightmare'
'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 9 Episode 5 celebrated Kat Izzo's birthday. However, the celebration didn't go as expected and turned into a 'worst nightmare' for the birthday girl.
The new arrival Davia Bunch from Zach Shallcross's season of 'The Bachelor' asked out Tanner for a date on Kat's birthday and he said 'yes.' Kat complained to the cameras, referring to the situation as 'my literal worst nightmare.'
She also noted, "I can’t believe this is happening on my birthday." However, when Tanner approached Kat about going on the date with Davia, though, Kat played it cool and told him, "It’s something you want to do, so you should do it."
Tanner said going on the date might give him 'all the clarity I need' about moving forward with Kat. She broke down in tears during a confessional interview and said, "That is a boy. That is not a man."
Tanner and Davia left and Kat sobbed on the beach. As she cried, her castmates and the kitchen staff came over with a cake and sang 'Happy Birthday' but she threw the cake in the ocean.
'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 9 star Kat Izzo dumps Brayden Bowers
At the start of 'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 9, Kat Izzo and Brayden Bowers had the strongest connection. Brayden loved Kat's quirks, and Kat found Brayden to be incredibly sweet and kind.
Unfortunately, their relationship didn't last once Tanner Courtad arrived at the beach. Tanner asked Kat on a date, and she immediately accepted without consulting Brayden.
Brayden was hurt by the whole situation. However, when Kat faced a similar situation in the recent episode, Brayden felt quite good.
Brayden said in an on-camera interview of Kat being upset, "To be honest, there’s a part of me that it made me feel really good to hear that. As sick as it sounds." Meanwhile, Aaron B admitted to the cameras, "I don't feel bad for Kat at all. This is how karma works."
'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 9 airs every Thursday at at 9 pm ET on ABC.
