Shannon Murphy's heartwarming film 'Babyteeth' will be available on digital rental from June 19. The film tells the story of Milla, a teenager who is terminally ill. She finds love in a drug dealer named Moses, much to the chagrin of her parents. Their blossoming relationship forms the premise of the film, while her parents nervously look on. 'Babyteeth' is about love, loss, grief and the determination to find a shred of happiness even when the universe is seemingly against you. 

The film received rave reviews at last year's Venice Film Festival and is said to be a devastating, yet emotional story of people, trying to find an escape from their overwhelming anxieties. The film has a shining cast. Here's all you need to know about the actors. 

Eliza Scanlen

The film stars Eliza Scanlen, who starred in the Australian drama 'Home And Away', followed by 'Sharp Objects' and then received critical acclaim for the HBO mini-series 'Sharp Objects'.  She made her film debut in 2019, with starring roles in 'Babyteeth' and Greta Gerwig’s period drama 'Little Women', where she played the role of Beth March. 'Little Women' was nominated for Golden Globes as well as Academy Awards.

Essie Davis

Many might recall her brief performance as Lady Crane in Season 6 of 'Game Of Thrones'. Davis has starred in numerous films and television shows, including 'Lambs of God' and the role of Ellen Kelly in Justin Kurzel's 'True History of the Kelly Gang', as well as the 'Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries',and its film adaptation 'Miss Fisher & the Crypt of Tears', along with Amelia Vanek in 'The Babadook'. 

Ben Mendelsohn

Paul Benjamin Mendelsohn first rose to stardom in Australia for his breakout role in 'The Year My Voice Broke' (1987). Following that, he has had played roles in films such as 'The Dark Knight Rises' (2012), 'Starred Up' (2013), 'Mississippi Grind' (2015), 'Rogue One' (2016), 'Darkest Hour' (2017) and Steven Spielberg's 'Ready Player One' (2018). He became a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Talos in 'Captain Marvel' (2019) and 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' (2019).

Toby Wallace

Wallace has acted in films such as 'Boys In The Trees' and 'Dark Frontier'. 

'Babyteeth' will be available on digital rental from June 19.
