"Space and luxury go hand in hand. In fact, the first three letters of space spells spa. Some would say this is a linguistic coincidence but Herman Judd believes that it's corporate kismat," states Matt in a video advertisement for Avenue 5

HBO's upcoming show 'Avenue 5' starring Hugh Laurie is about a luxury spacecraft that allows anyone with money to go on a space holiday. Avenue 5 is a spaceship with all amenities that one can easily find on the most luxurious of cruise ships with the added advantage of being in space.

Matt Spencer (Zach Woods), the Head of Passenger Services on Avenue 5 and Herman Judd (Josh Gad), a billionaire who owns Avenue 5 introduces potential customers to everything that would be available for travelers on the spaceship.

"Space and luxury go hand in hand. In fact, the first three letters of space spells spa. Some would say this is a linguistic coincidence but Herman Judd believes that it's corporate kismat," states Matt in a video advertisement for Avenue 5.

He continues to sing praises about this spa hotel in space, "let the ship (Avenue 5) be your oyster. Except, a grotesquely enormous oyster that you can take a vacation inside."

He slurps something and goes "ummmm" indicating that whatever he just ingested was delicious. He calls it a slippery critter. It is possibly some kind of a hallucinogen that is available in the spaceship because he explains how after having 35 of them, he began to hallucinate that he was his grandmother and he even lived through a lot of her pains.

He then says that these critters are now available now in the Rings of Salmon seafood bar at Deck 6. If this is how they sold the seats on the spaceship, we can already imagine the different kinds of guests who would be on it. Of course, Matt also gives a very quick disclaimer about everyone who might have allergic reactions to the critters.

He then goes on to list out other activities that one could possibly enjoy on Avenue 5. Shopping while looking at the moon, using business centers if you still have to work from space, enjoying virtual reality in space, spa, sunbathing, rock climbing, "open-air observation deck where you can find out what the void tastes like", then lightly adds "I'm kidding", because you'll asphyxiate and die in a second.

Matt Spencer's final disclaimer about people who should consult their doctor before deciding to come on board is the best "terms and conditions applied" announcement that has ever been made.

As if that was not enough of an advertisement, we also see Herman making a pitch about how inspiring and one of a kind this experience would be with his luxury space hotel Avenue 5. He goes on to note how mindblowing an achievement it has been to come up with a concept such as space travel and takes all the credit for being the pioneer in the industry, all while he hadn't even completed building the space ship.

He does tell his audience however that the footage in the advertisement is from a video library, but adds that the experience in space would be much better.

'Avenue 5' will premiere on HBO at 10 pm on January 17 ET.
