Former governor of California and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is all set to appear in his first-ever scripted television series, according to reports. The project is underway and is expected to be made available for streaming soon. If you’re excited about Schwarzenegger’s new series by Skydance, here’s everything you need to know ahead of its premiere. 

Release Date 

The release date for Schwarzenegger’s untitled TV series is yet to be announced by Skydance. 

Plot 

According to Deadline, the series is going to be a global spy adventure built around a father, the role of which is played by Schwarzenegger and centers around his daughter. The ‘Terminator' actor will be essaying the role of the father in his upcoming television series. The actor is joining hands with the Skydance once again by both headlining the series as well as serving as the executive producer. He was previously associated with the platform for ‘Terminator: Genisys’ and ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’. Schwarzenegger also starred and executive produced NBC’s ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ in 2017, which was an unscripted show. Besides his brilliant skills on-screen, the actor is also known for his bodybuilding skills. He has competed in several Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting contests. He became the youngest ever Mr. Olympia at the age of 23 in 1970. 

Meanwhile, preliminary casting is being held to choose an actor to play the role of Schwarzenegger’s daughter in the upcoming series. 

Creators 

The series is said to be created by Nick Santora, who is known for making ‘Scorpion’. Besides developing the project, he is also serving as the executive producer. He’s currently executive producing and serving as the showrunner for Amazon’s ‘Jack Reacher’, based on Lee Child’s bestselling book series. Santora’s other notable works include ‘Breakout Kings on A &E’, ‘Prison Break’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘The Guardian’ and ‘Lie to Me’. Other executive producers for Skydance’s spy adventure include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost.
