ARMYs urge BTS fans not to visit Jin’s military enlistment site after BigHit warns about overcrowding
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: The mandatory military enrollment of BTS member Jin is set for December 13, 2022, and BigHit Music has made a formal declaration about it. BigHit Music made it clear in its statement that no official event of any type will be held on the day of Jin's recruitment. The agency wrote, “We want to thank you for your continued support of BTS and would like to update you on Jin’s upcoming enlistment into the military. Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army.”
The agency announced on Tuesday via Weverse that Jin's initiation into the South Korean military "is a moment to be observed only by military personnel and their families." BigHit Music has asked fans to "refrain from visiting the site" to avoid overcrowding.

The agency further wrote, “Please note that we will not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment. The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. In order to prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, we ask fans to please refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts.”
BigHit Music also warned ARMY not to fall for con artists that use Jin or BTS to sell goods and promote tours to profit from his military service. The agency also threatened to take "necessary action" against any attempts to make Jin's enlistment into the military into a business. “We also advise you not to get adversely affected by purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages illegally using artist IP. Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorized use of such IP,” BigHit Music said in the statement, as reported by MSN. The agency also requested that ARMY show Jin its unwavering love and support throughout his time in the military. “Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time,” BigHit Music said.
Jin, the band's oldest member of BTS, would begin his mandatory military service, the K-pop group had stated in October 2022. The announcement put an end to the discussion regarding whether they should be excluded from the approximately two-year mandatory military service requirement.
After everyone has completed their time in the South Korean military, the group intends to work on various projects before coming back together in 2025.
After several days of rumors, BTS member Jin finally revealed his date of enlisting in the military in November. On Weverse, Jin posted a message notifying his followers which Twitter user @btstranslation7 translated. Jin wrote, "There's an article out there that I hadn't planned on being published.. in any case, ARMYs, I ask that you please refrain from coming to the training center. There will be many other people there and it could get dangerous with a big crowd. Army I love you."
