RM of the K-pop boy band BTS has finally dropped his first official solo album, ‘Indigo’. The first song on the record, ‘Yun,’ is a collaboration with Erykah Badu, produced by Logikal J and Ghstloop, and fans cannot stop gushing about it with one saying, “Still can't believe that RM ft Erykah Badu is really happening.”

RM, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, first hinted at the album on October 23 while celebrating the four-year anniversary of his second mixtape, 'Mono.' According to a press release via Vogue, Indigo “recounts the stories and experiences RM has gone through, like a diary. The album will present a different charm of RM with various featured artists.” Talking about Erykah to Variety, RM said, "She’s a queen with her own castle. And I hope that there is a specific message in the track. So I thought that if this comes through with her voice and her narrative and her history, then it could be more convincing — like, way more convincing — than a young 20-year-old artist saying that you should be a human and you should keep silent before you do something. And I just love her “spelling” voice — that when you listen to her voice, it’s like casting a spell on somebody."

'Match made in heaven'

Fans too appreciated Erykah but more than that, they couldn't seem to get enough of the collaboration. One wrote, "RM talking about the importance of having Erykah Badu on Yun is actually so important to me… wanting to communicate this message &seeking her as the best person to aid in doing so - it’s so beautiful & her vocals on the track y’all." Another wrote, "Okay, Erykah Badu and RM was just a match made in heaven because Yun is just incredible." One more said, "just knew when RM dropped the track list and showed Erykah Badu as one of the features, that their song would be a bop and I was right."

Many continued to praise the duo. An individual wrote, "IM GOING TO NEED MORE COLLABS OF RM AND ERYKAH BADU BC THEIR VIBES FIT SO WELL TOGETHER." One said, "Shaking listening to #IndigoByRM. on track 1 and already absolutely blown away. there’s so much to explore in namjoon’s art and his collab with Erykah Badu is magnificent. She melts into this track and they both put out such a moving opening to the album," while a fan commented by saying, "This whole album is a masterpiece, really. Thank you Namjoon for sharing your creation and art with us."
