During the early stages of their relationship, Yara had a surprise pregnancy and Jovi subsequently proposed to her. Sadly, the pregnancy ended in miscarriage. Following that devastating incident, Yara and Jovi turned to one another for support as they made wedding plans. Despite the turbulence in their relationship, they got married in February 2020. In 2021, Jovi and Yara welcomed a baby girl.

Shortly after the final part of '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After' Season 7 tell-all aired, Jovi and Yara celebrated by taking a family beach vacation to Cancun, Mexico. However, during Season 7, Yara was unhappy with her life in the United States and toyed with the idea of buying a property in Europe to be closer to her family. However, the couple is still in New Orleans. The couple's concern over Yara having an apartment in Europe only persisted because Jovi believed she would want to leave as soon as she received her green card. In the end, the couple agreed that she wouldn't purchase real estate in Europe, and Yara is still residing with him in America. Jovi and Yara displayed their continued commitment to one another and to their daughter. Recently, Jovi and Yara took their daughter on a casual outing. The couple frequently posts pictures of one another on social media.

Despite appearing to be a happy couple on social media, Jovi and Yara couldn't avoid turmoil. Jovi and Yara will star in the upcoming '90 Day: The Last Resort' spin-off on TLC. The couple will make a desperate effort to resolve their issues in the most recent episode of the franchise since they have "reached their breaking points." The cast members will take part in "a couples retreat to see if they can heal old wounds" during the program. With the assistance of experts, Jovi and Yara will explore their "issues with trust, sex, jealousy, anger, and intimacy."
