PRESCOTT VALLEY, ARIZONA: Instead of a meal, a Wendy’s worker delivered punches to an elder man. A surveillance cam footage recently surfaced in which a Wendy’s employee can be seen attacking a 67-year-old customer, which left him in critical condition.

Antoine Kendrick, 35, has been reportedly charged with aggravated assault for allegedly attacking the elderly customer after having an argument over a meal at a restaurant on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley, Arizona, on July 26, 2022.

At approximately 4:41 pm, Kendrick had an argument with the elderly customer over his meal order. The argument went to the extent where Kendrick came out around the service counter in anger and struck the victim in the head, says a statement by Prescott Valley Police Department.

The punches in the head left the victim unconscious and made his head bang on the floor. The unconscious victim was tended to by police officers who reported to the scene along with members of the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority. Later, looking at the critical condition of the victim, he was airlifted to a hospital in the Phoenix area.

One eyewitness of the incident told CBS 5, “Oh, wow that was a pretty hard hit. That was a Mike Tyson hit. The customer didn’t touch him, so he had no right to touch the customer, period, end of the story. I just think that’s horrible and wish it didn’t happen. It puts a bad light on our entire society.”

While another customer said, “First thought is there is a lot of tension all around in society and so I’m not necessarily surprised but surprised in terms of this area. An employee probably should hold back their frustration and take the higher road.”

The witnesses also revealed that Kendrick immediately took a look at the unconscious victim and retreated behind the counter to grab some belongings before running away from the scene.

According to reports, Kendrick has a long criminal record and was arrested on multiple other occasions in Tennessee. He was first arrested in 2013 on charges of aggravated assault. In 2016, he was again taken in custody and was charged with aggravated criminal trespass, aggravated assault, and evading arrest. Later in 2019, he was charged with harassment and again with aggravated assault.

This was not the first time when a fast-food joint worker attacked a customer. In 2018, a woman was slapped and her hair pulled by a McDonald's worker in Camberwell, South London, after she jumped behind the serving counter to serve herself. The incident was captured by another McDonald's customer. In the footage, the employee was seen slapping the woman before grabbing her hair. An eyewitness of the incident told the woman was angry as it took too long to prepare her order and confronted the McDonald's working behind the counter.
