Anne Heche's son Homer reveals why actress was buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery
MAR VISTA, LOS ANGELES: Anne Heche's son has spoken about the significance of the actress's final resting place. Homer Laffoon, 20, and his brother, Atlas Tupper, 13, chose the Hollywood Forever Cemetery because they believed their mother would have approved of where they chose to bury her remains after she died.
"My brother Atlas and I want to thank Tyler, Noelle, and all the amazing people at Hollywood Forever for their kindness, compassion, and generosity of spirit," Laffoon said in a statement provided to Page Six. "We are convinced our Mom would love the site we have chosen for her; it’s beautiful, serene and she will be among her Hollywood peers. A living place, where people attend movies and concerts and other events," the statement read.

Heche died from smoke inhalation and thermoelectric injuries, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner. Heche's rep released a statement mourning Heche’s passing.
“Today we lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy. Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact," the statement read.
