Who are Anne Heche's children?
Heche has two sons, named — Homer and Atlas. The ‘Donnie Brasco’ actress’ first born is Homer, whom she shares with cameraman Coleman Laffoon. It has been said that Heche and Laffoon became man and wife in 2001 but the relationship did not last long as they went their separate ways in 2007.
However, the short-lived marriage saw the birth of Homer, whom the ex-couple welcomed in 2002. Heche and Laffoon’s divorce drama also reportedly saw them fighting for their son. Eventually, a judge announced that the 53-year-old actress had to pay “$275,000 to her ex-husband, along with monthly child-support payments of $3,700 for the care of Homer,” Hollywood Life reported. However, the report citing court documents noted that the former pair decided “to split the cost of any ‘agreed upon extracurricular activities’ for their son.”
As per reports, when Heche ended up in hospital after the August 5 crash, Homer began “advocating for the ‘best care’ for his mother.” A source told Entertainment Tonight, “Her family is on pins and needles, just praying,” before adding, “He's being as strong as he can be. Her family is ready to surround her, and be there if she wakes up. Everyone is waiting for that to happen.”
After Laffoon, Heche began a relationship with actor James Tupper and in 2009, welcomed his son, Atlas. But in 2018, they also broke up. In March 2022, Atlas turned 13 and her proud mother took to Instagram to celebrate it. Sharing a cute photo of herself with the second-born, she wrote: “Atlas is a TEEN-AGER? With the children being separated from their parents in the nonsense of hatred and war, I weep, I shared my tears last night. Today I celebrate both of my sons for each of their monumental Birthdays. #13 #20 #loveourchildren #endthewar.”
In 2013, Heche had spoken about being a single mother of two sons. She told breezymama.com, “It’s exactly like they say: girls like to sit and color and they are sweet and they let you comb their hair. Boys… my boys and every other boy I know, are active, active, active. I play with them all the time. I play football, baseball… I play all these things I never thought I would play. Anything with a ball they love. Boys are cuddlers and lovers though. When you tire them out, they love to sit and cuddle their mama. That’s the blessing of boys.”
