In 2016, Netflix released a six-part docuseries ‘Vai Anitta’. The show followed Brazilian singer, songwriter, television host, actress, and businesswoman Anitta behind-the-scenes, and explored what made this very young, self-managed talent such a huge star in Brazil and how she is building her international career. While there was a second season for the series in the works, Netflix later decided to launch a separate docuseries about her. Here’s all you need to know about ‘Anitta: Made In Honório’:

‘Anitta: Made In Honório’ will premiere on Netflix on December 16.

Plot

The docuseries shows, in an unprecedented way, the private life and career of the singer Anitta, an icon of funk and pop in Brazil. The show closely follows the controversial and fascinating artist in her intimacy and during the preparation of important shows on different stages around the world. It also shows her on the road and in meetings with her staff, while accumulating two roles: as an artist and entrepreneur.

Who is Anitta?

Born Larissa de Macedo Machado, the 27-year-old rose to national fame in 2013 after releasing the single ‘Show das Poderosas’. In July of the same year, she released her debut studio album which received a triple gold record certificate and platinum certification. ‘Ritmo Perfeito’, her second studio album, and her third album were also critically acclaimed. The artist has won several accolades.
