'Andor' Episode 4 easter eggs references 'The Mandalorian's key star Grogu twice
There were ample Easter Eggs in 'Andor' Episode 4 and two of them were directly linked to 'The Mandalorian' and the show's breakout star Grogu, colloquially known as Baby Yoda. While the Mando and his little buddy duo have their own adventure coming up in 2023, Diego Luna's Cassian Andor is busy running a mission for a still nascent rebellion led by Luthen (Stellan Skarsgard) and Mon Mothma (Genvieve O-Reilly). The latter gets her introduction in the fourth chapter.
As far as the Easter Eggs go, the first is when Luthen drops off Cassian on a lush, green planet called Aldhani, for his mission. He then proceeds to Coruscant. Now the second place rings a bell as Grogu was raised in a Jedi temple in Coruscant, and taken into hiding after the formation of the galactic empire. The little force wielder was one of the survivors of the siege of the Jedi Temple.
Up next, it is revealed that the Empire is mining the remote world of Arvala-6. Arvala -7 was the planet where Mando/Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) finds Grogu in the season opener of 'The Mandalorian'. Grogu was born in 41 BBY, and was raised at the He was eventually, he was held at a hideout run by Nikto mercenaries on Arvala-7 during the time of the New Republic.
Digressing a bit from 'Andor to focus a little more on 'The Mandalorian'. Per a report by 'The Direct', Season 3 will be one of the major 'Star Wars' shows in 2023 with 'Ahsoka' and 'Skeleton Crew' set to premiere. Initially, reports suggested a February 2023 window, however, that's pretty much up in the air considering Season 3 still has some work to be done in the editing room. Ideally, 'The Mandalorain' is a fall treat, but just might switch things up and give it a similar release date as 'The Book of Boba Fett'. The Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen- starters were released in December, but Pedro Pascal and the force-wielding tiny Yoda might show up only in February or later.
