LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sharing a health update with his fans, AI Roker opened up about his stay at the hospital for the second time. On December 8, the weather anchor said he is "hopefully coming home soon."

The 68-year-old weatherman revealed that he had blood clots in his legs and lungs and was first hospitalized in October. However, a day after his release, he was rushed back to the hospital as his condition worsened, reports MEAWW.

Roker took to Instagram to tell his fans, "Hopefully coming home soon but when your spirit sags a bit, you get to see that and recharge. God Bless you all for all the prayers and well wishes for me and my family," with a scenic picture of a sunrise that appears to be his view through the window in his room at the hospital.

Wishing for his speedy recovery, Roker's fans marked their support for him in the comments below his post about his hope to return home soon.

Before he was readmitted to the facility, he was able to spend time with his family for Thanksgiving dinner, though for the first time in 27 years, he missed the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, reports Page Six. He may also miss this year's annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center.

Al Roker posted a picture of him excitedly watching the parade at his home after being discharged. The picture shared on his Instagram was captioned "Back home in time to catch a little bit of the #macysthanksgivingdayparade Missing being next to @savannahguthrie and @hodakotb" as he has been a long-time presence at the parade tradition.

Recalling the day Roker was first taken to the hospital where the blood clots in his legs and lungs were diagnosed, his wife Deborah Roberts said that she was distraught with fear at the sight of her husband taken away in the ambulance. She struggled to get her cell phone from inside their Tesla but failed to smash its windows, reports Page Six.

According to the news outlet, the ABC journalist Deborah immediately took a taxi to the hospital along with her daughter. At the hospital, Roker was already surrounded by his family. He was treated at the intensive care unit.

The couple share a daughter Leila, 24, and a son Nicholas, 20. The TV personality also has a daughter Courtney, 35, with his ex-wife Alice Bell.
