LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The wife of Al Roker took to Instagram as concerns for the ‘Today’ host's health have disturbed his fans. The 68-year-old weatherman is said to be suffering from blood clots in his leg and lungs. He had been admitted to the hospital but was released on Thanksgiving. However, on Friday, November 25, his health took a turn for the worse and he was readmitted to the hospital.

Now, Roker’s wife Deborah Roberts has thanked people for their well wishes. In her Instagram Story, she posted a picture of an orange leaf tree with a message that read, “So grateful for the love!” Her post came after a source told Page Six, “Al was taken from his home in a stretcher back to the hospital on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. His condition was worrying, but once back in the hospital, he improved.”

“His wife, Deborah, was understandably very upset. She had left her phone and other possessions inside their Tesla, which had malfunctioned and wouldn’t unlock, so she was trying to smash in a window. Deborah then went to the hospital by taxi with her daughter, where Al has since been surrounded by his family,” the witness added.

Earlier, Deborah shared a photo of sun rays coming through a tree as she wrote, “The light…” Besides this, the ABC News Senior National Affairs Correspondent made public a family picture on her Instagram that showed her posing with her children and Roker himself.

The caption of the sweet photograph was “Thursday thankfulness and then some. Holding on tight and cherishing this moment like never before. Welcome home my dear sweetheart, @alroker Gratitude isn’t an adequate description but we will start there. Brilliant medical minds. Loving family and friends. Unceasing Prayer warriors. #thanksgiving.”

This comes after in a November 18 Instagram share, Roker had given an update on his health to his fans and followers. He had written, “So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been. Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs. After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend, everyone.”

The ‘Today’ anchor’s social media share had attracted a lot of comments from people with one writing, “Speedy recovery and sending you healing vibes❤️.” Another one commented, “Sending love, light and prayers Al!!! ❤️❤️” A comment added, “❤️❤️❤️ Feel better soon. I didn't realize you were ill. Thought you were out getting paid to play and were going to bring in a great report. God's Continual Blessings.”

Meanwhile, according to a spokesperson for ‘Today’ as reported by Page Six, “Al is forging ahead on the road to recovery.  He has the unwavering love and support of Deborah, his children, and his entire TODAY family. He is beyond grateful for the outpouring of well-wishes, and we cannot wait for him to be back with us in studio and with our viewers at home.”
