Fans of Celine Dion are distraught over the news of the diagnosis of her disease Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS). The disease, which is incurable, causes her to have uncontrollable muscle spasms.
The singer revealed her rare neurological disorder in a video she shared on Instagram. After announcing her health condition, she announced the postponement of her concerts from spring 2023 to 2024, which are part of her Courage World Tour, as well as the cancelation of 8 of her concerts in 2023.

Leaving sufferers as 'human statues,' the disease controls and locks body movements in a way that the person cannot move or even speak. In the post she shared on Instagram, she said "I've had health problems for a long time and it's not easy for me to cope with them. I am deeply saddened to say that I will not be ready to resume my Europe tour in February,", announcing the postponement of her concert.
Treatments help the progression of the illness to slow down though this rare condition is incurable. The singer revealed that she has been trying to do all that is possible to minimize the symptoms.
The singer also took to Twitter to inform her fans of the postponement of her concert tour to 2024 and 2023 show cancellations.
