'America's Got Talent': Here's why Ansley Burns should be one among the wildcard spots in the live quarter-finals

Among the 44 acts that got sent home during the Judge Cuts, there is one particular contestant we would love to see come back as a wildcard entry. And that is none other than 12-year-old Ansley Burns.

With the Judge Cuts over on America's Got Talent season 14, we're now heading to the live quarter-finals where we will find the handful of contestants who made it through to the live shows ready for another leg of the competition.  From next week, when AGT airs, the judges will have no say in results, and the contestants who will move on to the next round will be decided by fans and viewers who can vote for their favorite act.

Though we can't wait to see what new tricks the performers will have for the live shows, there are a few contestants who were fan favorites and didn't make it through the live shows.

But there's always a bright side for a lucky few who were sent home as there are wildcard spots up for grabs during the quarter-finals. Among the 44 acts that got sent home during the Judge Cuts, there is one particular contestant we would love to see come back as a wildcard entry. And that is none other than 12-year-old Ansley Burns.

Burns won hearts during her audition performance of Aretha Franklin's 'Think'. And here's why she should be one among the three wildcard spots that re-enter the competition in the live shows.  For those who aren't that aware of Burns, she is a 12-year-old who hails from South Carolina. And during her audition performance, she didn't just captivate the hearts of the judges, but the viewers as well. She didn't just win hearts of everyone because of her impeccable voice, but because of her confidence too.

Barely thirty seconds into her audition performance of Aretha Franklin's 'Think' she was stopped by Simon Cowell who told that her voice was getting drowned in the background music and asked her to do it acapella. Not thinking twice, even though nerves got the best of her, Burns belted out the song acapella just the way Cowell wanted it. She received four yeses and moved on to the Judge Cuts. Performing her version of Carrie Underwood's 'Good Girls' it was Deja Vu all over again, as Cowell stopped her mid-performance yet again for the same reason.

Unfazed by his request again, she sang it with utter confidence leaving the judges including guest judge Ellie Kemper shocked. After her performance. Burns received raving reviews from all judges who applauded her voice and talent.  But sadly despite the breathtaking comments, Burns didn't make it through to the live shows during the third round of Judge Cuts. This decision not only left fans and viewers appalled but even Cowell who claimed that fans will think the judges are "nuts". And he was surely right. Burns rightfully deserved a spot in the live shows more than Japanese tambourine dancer who made it through to the live shows.

Burns is an exceptionally good singer, and for someone who is just 12-years-old to perform and ace tough songs by famed singers, just acapella after being stopped mid-performance twice, she did justice to them. She deserves a spot in the live-quarter finals and it would be great if she gets one among the three spots in the wildcard entry, and fans think so too.

"Bring back Ansley Burns as a wildcard!!!! Seriously, you put the tambourine guy through and not Ansley Burns????," wrote a fan on Twitter. Adding to that another fan said. "I vote for Ansley Burns come back as a @AGT wildcard. She's amazing and is very deserving of being in the live shows."
