'America's Got Talent: Champions' Season 2: Alesha Dixon replaces Mel B as judge and fans couldn't be more excited

Alesha might be a new face for most of the American audiences but she does come with her own share of experience in judging talent in the same franchise.

'America's Got Talent: Champions' Season 2 will be returning to our screens in January, and this time, Simon Cowell is bringing one of his long-time judges Alesha Dixon from 'Britain's Got Talent' in the place of former judge Mel B.

The series was recently renewed for Season 2, and along with that news, the judges were also revealed. While Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum are returning as judges, Mel B is currently on tour. So, taking her place as the new judge on the returning series 'AGT: Champions' is none other than Britain's Got Talent judge singer and songwriter Alesha Dixon. Returning as the host this season is none other than fan-favorite Terry Crews.

After Season 1 champion, magician Shin Lim released a video revealing the judges in a breathtakingly amazing trick, Alesha took to her own Twitter account to reveal that she is "super excited" to be on the show. Alesha has been one of the judges on 'Britains Got Talent' for the past 8 seasons. Though she might be a new face for most of the American audience, she does come with her own share of experience of judging talent in the same franchise.

Post the reveal, fans couldn't contain their excitement as they took to Twitter to share their love for the new judge and revealed how ecstatic they are to have her on the show.

"They're putting Alesha on #AGTChampions? And HEIDI'S BACK! This is actually great, super psyched. #AGT," wrote a fan on Twitter. Adding to that another fan said, "They’re doing a second #AGTChampions and Alesha Dixon is replacing Mel B i’m in SHOCK and AWE."

"Alesha is with u guys this is gonna be epic #AGTChampions," wrote a fan. While another added saying, "Think Alesha will do well on #AGTChampions, the links to the NERD music video and Mis-Teeq releasing music over there is too far in the past to be relevant but she has the right temperament and unlike #CherylCole has a personality and the right attitude #BGT #BGTChampions #AGT."

The memorable and talented acts from AGT and the other 'Got Talent' competitions all over the globe will be battling it out for the ultimate title 'World Champion' when 'America's Got Talent: Champions' returns with season 2 in January.

'America's Got Talent: Champions' season 2 will premiere in January, only on NBC. Check your local listings for more information.
