'American Idol' Finale: Luke Bryan, Casey Bishop sing Bon Jovi's 'Livin' on a Prayer', fans say 'eliminate' him

'American Idol' Season 19 finale saw a bevy of great performances from eliminated contestants, one of them was Casey Bishop who dueted with Luke Bryan during the last hour. Bryan and Bishop rehearsed the song at Whiskey GoGo, one of the most iconic rock clubs in the world. It was a dream come true for 16-year-old Bishop, a rock artist.
Bishop was eliminated last week at the end of the Top 4 performances. There was a lot of backlash online after her ouster as people wanted to see her in the finale. So this performance in the finale episode served as some consolation for aggravated fans who got to witness their favorite on the stage once again.

Singing Bon Jovi's 'Livin' on a Prayer'
Bishop and Bryan chose to cover Bon Jovi's 'Livin' on a Prayer'. Bishop is a rocker, but for Bryan who is a country artist, this song choice seemed unconventional. While both of them seemed to enjoy themselves during the performance which is being touted as "best performance of the night", Bryan was turned into a laughing stock for a section of the audience who feel he should stick to country music.
"Holy flip Casey and Luke Best performance of the night tbh #AmericanIdol," wrote a fan. "CASEY BISHOP JUST TOTALLY BLEW LUKE BRYAN OFF THE STAGE SHES THE REAL WINNER OF AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!!!!! #AmericanIdol," another tweet read. "Casey is better than Luke #AmericanIdol," another fan noted. "There is a reason @LukeBryanOnline does country #americanidolfinale #americanidol," a tweet read. "Can we eliminate Luke Bryan #americanidol," quipped another fan. "Luke Bryan singing a song that isn’t country is very… odd #AmericanIdol," wrote another fan of the show.
