Who is Amara Skye? Whoopi Goldberg's granddaughter makes her TV debut with 'Claim to Fame'
Whoopi Goldberg’s granddaughter is following her footsteps to stardom. Amara Skye has made her debut with ABC's new reality show ‘Claim to Flame’, where 12 contestants — all of whom are related to someone famous — compete for $100,000 as they try to hide their identities while living together under the same roof.
Hosted by brothers Kevin and Frankie Jonas, the show premiered on July 11, where 12 contestants can be seen competing in various challenges. Amarah, 32, got into the show after discussing it with her grandmother Goldberg, 66, who was skeptical at first, as per NY Post. Amara narrated how the casting directors first reached out to her via a DM on Instagram and why Goldberg's approval was important. She explained, “Her approval always matters to me. In the beginning, she didn’t understand sliding in the DMs and how people do stuff now. She kind of thought it was a fake thing and told me to be careful.” However, once the paperwork arrived, 'The View' co-host was on board and Amara pursued the opportunity.

It also said that she aims to fuse graffiti and abstract art and starts every day by reciting her life motto, "Skeezy Does It", which is also the inspiration behind her Instagram handle.
