Whoopi Goldberg has been an indispensable part of 'The View' for 15 years. The main co-host of the show has fueled rumors saying that she will be quitting the show after fans asked her to be fired. Whoopi got associated with the show in 2007 and was about to take a temporary leave this year for the shooting of a new Amazon Studios series, 'Anansi Boys.' However, it seems that the audience does not want to see her on the show anymore after she used foul language on air.

Fans were not impressed when Whoopi used the word 'a**' while talking about parenting on the show on June 24. While discussing 'gentle parenting,' she said, "Sometimes you have to be an a** to be a parent.'' Fans of the show were quick to rebuke the comedian on Twitter for her language.

As reported by The Sun, one fan wrote, "Someone needs to start pushing back on Whoopi. I have a feeling someone will not let her interject one day which will cause Whoopi to go full-on nuts honestly. She has gotten exponentially worse this season so I hope next time contract negotiations are up it's time to go, or work less days.' Another comment read, "... I have no idea what ABC thinks is happening here. They take several women, with no real credibility and let them mouth off day after day and they're surprised that one day someone says something stupid?" Another fan complained that Whoopi "shuts down any opinion she doesn't agree with."

Meanwhile, a user said in support of the comedian, "In the words of Whoopi Goldberg"Sometimes you have to be an ass to be a parent" Gentle Parenting must not blur the lines of who's the parent and who is the child and how people choose to raise their children shouldn't be even up for discussion. Do what works for you."

Nevertheless, several viewers were left disgusted by the host's words and said that they had to turn off the show as they could not tolerate her "unnecessary language." They even called for the producer to consider a casting rearrangement.

A user on Twitter wrote, "People are losing their minds about Whoopi’Goldberg because she seems angry and uses the world “ass on tv to say that parents have to be strict and can’t be their kids friend all the time. She is a celebrity extension of America. Why would she be less exasperated than us?"

The talk show has lately seen a series of blunders as the host continues to make inappropriate comments. Goldberg's suggestion that she might be leaving the show comes amidst the controversies. However, it looks like the star has greener pastures in mind.

Goldberg told ET that the third part of the hit movie series 'Sister Act' is coming soon. Talking about 'Sister Act 3,' she said, "It's coming. We gotta shoot it, but it's happening." She added, "Because we did Sister Act 1 and 2 back-to-back, which is why I think they are really great."
