In a new interview, Alyssa Milano compared childbirth to sexual assault, and her comments have caused a frenzy on Twitter. Trolls have taken to Twitter in droves to mock the actress who spoke about being "punched repeatedly in the vagina" at a concert when she was just 19. A user tweeted, "Alyssa Milano was accidentally hit in her vagina at a crowded concert and now calls herself a sexual assault victim. Imagine being a rape victim and having to watch this b*tch pretend to have suffered the same trauma as you."

Milano was involved in a life-threatening car accident that could have claimed the lives of her and her uncle this August. TMZ reported she was a passenger in a Ford Edge which was driven by her uncle who fell unconscious on the driver's seat from a heart attack. The car swerved into another lane and hit a vehicle when the actress sprung into action and averted a fatal car crash. She then performed CPR on her unconscious uncle till first responders arrived. At the beginning of October, she released a statement saying her uncle Mitch Carp was "out of the hospital, he’s home, he has care and they’re trying to build up his strength to get open-heart surgery. So that’s kind of where we are now," according to Deadline

Internet dubs Milano an 'idiot' for comparing childbirth to sexual assault

Sharing details of her assault, Milano revealed, "I was at a concert of a very famous pop star who told the crowd to get closer to her. This resulted in a stampede. People were smashed against each other. I couldn’t breathe, I thought I was gonna die.” She added, "From behind me, I felt a hand up my skirt and I was punched repeatedly in the vagina. I couldn’t turn around. I looked to the stage, and I looked to the security guards, and I said, ‘Please help me’ and they couldn’t help me.” The first time she spoke about her being a victim was in 2018 during the #MeToo wave.

In the interview with Page Six, she spoke about how childbirth brought back flashes of her being assaulted. "After going through therapy after giving birth to Milo and remembering that one moment of feeling like I was being held down and had things being done to me that I didn’t want, to me, was very reminiscent of being sexually assaulted,” Milano said. She gave birth to Milo, 10, in 2011 and a daughter named Elizabeth, 7, in 2014. Milano later shed light on how PTSD from sexual assault stays with a person forever.

“I think anyone who has dealt with trauma has the moments where you’re like, ‘Yeah, I’m fine. I’ve dealt with that.’ Versus the moments where you go, ‘Oh, no I didn’t. I just tried to tuck it away so no one could see them or I couldn’t see them or feel them anymore,'” she said adding that the fact that so many people had "access" to her vagina while giving birth to her daughter was what triggered her. “I remembered at one point really not enjoying the fact that lots of people had access to my vagina and thinking to myself, ‘Why does — I don’t like this. Why does it feel so familiar? I’ve never had a baby before. Why does this invasive feeling feel so familiar?'” She further added, “That was just a fleeting moment, a tick in time, but I didn’t forget about it.”

Milano started trending on Twitter hours after the interview went live. "Funniest tweet today @Alyssa_Milano is trending again. She's such an idiot!" a user tweeted. "Imagine how twisted her mind is when Alyssa Milano comes forward with this insanity but kept her mouth shut about Harvey Weinstein and actual sexual assault," another wrote. " @Alyssa_Milano how can you even compare something so horrific to something so amazing & pure. Granted there is pain & every childbirth is different @ least my 3 were I was assaulted & molested by my bio dad but NEVER did I feel like I was reliving that while I was giving birth," another user asked. One user said, "Wow. She needs help."
