‘All American’ Season 3 Episode 2 Spoilers: Did Asher cheat on Olivia with Vanessa and will he betray her again?

Love and betrayal are two sides of the same coin and the new season of ‘All American’ is proof enough. In the very first episode, the chemistry between Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) and Olivia Baker (Samantha Logan) couldn't go unnoticed and the awkward tension was proof something fishy had happened.
Meanwhile, Olivia and Asher Adams (Cody Christian) seem to have cold vibes and we don't really know what happened over the summer. Could Asher have cheated on Olivia? In the second episode ‘How to Survive in South Central’, we find out what really happened and it will leave you shocked.
The episode begins with Spencer and Layla Keating (Greta Onieogou) in bed together. They talk about how they'll have to spend senior year apart and they do look happy together.
The scene shifts to Olivia and Asher when the former tells him, “You are clean now and the team needs you.” Asher says, “Yeah especially now that Spencer's gone.” Soon after, Layla introduces Vanessa Montes (Alondra Delgado) — a new student at Beverly High School and the new head coach's daughter — to Olivia, she is all awkward. In fact, she snaps, asking her, “What are you doing here?”
Soon after, Vanessa comes to meet a shirtless Asher who is busy with his workout session. “I thought we would never see each other again,” she says. Reminiscing their past, Vanessa says, “You needed a reset button...” And adds, “I think I met your girlfriend Olivia.” Asher gets a little fidgety, “You guys talked?” That's when Vanessa asks, “Did you tell her about me or this summer? Because she was even weirder than you,” and then assures him, “You don't have anything to worry about. She won't hear anything from me.”
With a wide smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, Asher says, “Vanessa, it's really great to see you.”
What a shocker! So Asher did cheat on Olivia. But the bigger shock comes towards the end when Olivia tells Layla her secret. “Okay, do you want to tell me what's going on? First you were awkward around Vanessa and now you are weird with Spencer,” Layla asks her. Pat comes the reply. “I lied to you about this summer... The reason I missed the Vegas trip was that I flew to Mexico to surprise Asher. Only I'm the one who got surprised.”
Olivia saw Asher cheating on her with Vanessa. When Layla asks Olivia what she did, she replies, “I left... Asher still has no idea and I want to keep it that way.” Why did she do that? And is she okay with him going behind her back with some other girl?
The scene leaves many unanswered questions for viewers. Why didn't Olivia tell Asher she knows? Has she forgiven him? Looking at Asher's happy face when he saw Vanessa, will he cheat on Olivia again? How long before Olivia and Asher's relationship becomes toxic? Oh... and does Spencer know and did he have sex with Olivia? Woah! That's too much for one episode.
‘All American’ Season 3 premiered with its first episode on January 18 and the second one aired on January 25, 2021. The CW announced the estimated schedule for its fall shows and the series is slated for the 8 pm to 9 pm time slot on Mondays. Going by the previous seasons, this one should also come with 16 episodes.
If you're wondering when it will premiere on Netflix, you'll have to be patient. The series drops on the streaming site only once all episodes have finished airing weekly on The CW.
