Season two of 'All American' is full of emotional moments that will tug at your heartstrings. The spotlight on the third episode was on Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) and whether he chooses to play for his dad or sticks to Coach Billy Baker (Taye Diggs).

It also reflected on his changing dynamic with girlfriend Layla Keating (Greta Onieogou). In episode three, Layla first comes back to Spencer and flaunts all the "expensive bribe" her dad gave her in the form of expensive perfume, earrings and cash.

She may be rich but she is alone in her empty mansion and it is slowly getting on her nerves. What's adding to the tension is that she doesn't open up about her mental struggle with anyone, even though Spencer and Olivia (Samantha Logan) have time and again tried to talk it out.

Towards the end of the episode, Layla pushes Spencer away telling him, "I want to be alone tonight." When he persists, she yells at him, "Damn it, Spencer, just get out of my car."

At that moment, Spencer notices the scars of Layla's wrist and how she has been hiding them with a fancy bracelet. The shocking end made many fans anxious.

One wrote, "Spencer saw the scars on Layla's arms. #AllAmerican," and another said, "What is wrong with Layla why is she this depressed all of the sudden #AllAmerican."

Many others don't seem to like her rude behavior. "I get Layla is going through it... Like I really do... But she is starting to get on my last nerves like girl u don't gotta be so rude #AllAmerican," one user wrote.

Another posted, "Spence isn’t gonna leave Layla. He’s been asking her what’s going on and she’s shutting him out. Seeing those cut marks on her wrist had me sad as hell. This season is good af @CWAllAmerican #AllAmerican."

"Poor Layla. She really needs help. These aren’t even adults so of course, they don’t see the signs #AllAmerican," another tweet read.

Even though Spencer assured Layla he would never leave her, she hasn't been honest with him about her mental illness and struggles with depression. Will she push him further until the couple decides to break up?

Only time will tell because a communication gap is the first sign of a breaking point in a relationship. When episode four titled 'They Reminisce Over You' airs next Monday, October 28, it might reveal whether Layla and Spencer bridge their gap and make time for each other.
