Alec Baldwin's celebratory gesture terrifies castmates after he's acquitted in Halyna Hutchins murder case
LIVINGSTON, MONTANA: Alec Baldwin, who was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter charges for killing the cinematographer on the New Mexico set of his movie 'Rust', apparently petrified his grieving castmates because of his mirthful gloating. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins had been killed in October 2021 when the actor was rehearsing a scene for the Western movie when a gun he was holding discharged. The gun was not supposed to be loaded with live ammo but it contained bullets. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.
A source told Radar Online, “They think it’s highly insensitive to be celebrating so loudly, given that someone they all knew and loved died in such a horrible way." Although the FBI never bought the 65-year-old actor's claims that he never pulled the trigger on the gun, Baldwin always maintained his innocence and much to his delight, the charges against the actor were dropped “without prejudice” on April 20. However, it means an ongoing investigation could still lead to new legal filings against him in the upcoming times.

'Alec dodged a bullet here'
A civil suit brought by Hutchins' hubby Matthew, and their son was settled by Baldwin, but the terms of the deal are not disclosed to the public. He has now returned to film the movie which is now being shot in Montana. “A lot of people think Alec dodged a bullet here — if you’ll excuse the expression,” said a source. “They don’t think he should be running victory laps after Halyna died in such a horrible way!”
Castmates grew bitter about Alec Baldwin
The sources claimed that Halyna who was 42 at the time when she was killed, was well-liked by the cast and crew. On the contrary, people started to dislike Baldwin since the incident took place. “Everybody thinks Halyna died needlessly,” said a source. They added, “Just because prosecutors didn’t build a good case against Alec, nobody on the set believes he has the right to fist-pump over her dead body.” "Some of them may even walk away from the film,” said the source.
Baldwin’s lawyers spoke out
Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, said, “We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident.”
