Scene 121 in which Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot removed from Alec Baldwin's 'Rust' reboot
LIVINGSTON, MONTANA: A scene from the movie 'Rust,' in which cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed during a rehearsal has been reportedly removed from Alec Baldwin's rebooted Western film. Hutchins, 42, was killed in October 2021 when Baldwin, 65, pulled a trigger of a prop Colt.45 handgun which was accidentally loaded with a live round in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The production had to be halted immediately following the tragedy. Alec Baldwin was charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter which were dropped on Thursday less than 24 hours before the rebooted 'Rust' shooting got underway. The armor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 26, responsible for handling the gun and checking it for safety is still facing criminal charges over the incident.

'It has been removed from the movie entirely'
Since the 'Rust' resumed, Baldwin has been every day on the set, and on Sunday, he was witnessed donning an 1880s costume. The fatal scene numbered '121' took place on the 12th day of the production. "The scene numbered 121 took place on the 12th day of the scheduled 21 and the Colt pistol was one of several weapons on set at the time but the only one used in 121 and the preceding 118," Citing the source, the Daily Mail reported, "It has been removed from the movie entirely" and will not be reshot.

'Rust' armor Gutierrez-Reed faces two counts of involuntary manslaughter
Gutierrez-Reed still faces two counts of involuntary manslaughter as the cops found a serious violation of safety on set. She is scheduled to face a preliminary hearing in August and is charged with "sloppy mishandling of firearms" according to prosecution documents.
Texts as per reports found by investigators reveal Reed wanted to shoot with a live round and there was a mixture of both dummy and live rounds on the set. On 'Rust,' she was replaced by a seasoned armorer, Andrew Wert, 54, having experience in 60 movies which include 'Mortal Kombat,' 'Terminator Genisys,' and 'The Manchurian Candidate,' among others. The report said he was seen on the set handling arms for Baldwin.
